What is this program?
The Adolescent Medicine Consultation Clinic will see adolescents who require consultation with a subspecialist in adolescent health. Referrals to Adolescent Medicine Consultation Clinics will be accepted for adolescents with chronic/complex health conditions with issues related to:
- Sexual health, contraception, menstrual issues
- Substance use
- Pubertal development
- Adherence to treatment
- Developmental assessment regarding issues related to consent/capacity (e.g. transplantation)
- Transition to adult healthcare
- Disordered eating
- School problems/avoidance
