What is this program?
The Youth Urgent Care Clinic provides urgent outpatient services for patients presenting at the CAMH Emergency Department experiencing crises with addictions and concurrent disorders, mood disorders and anxiety disorders. Treatment plans are brief, if provided, and focus on individual therapies. This clinic is primarily for assessment and referrals to appropriate services. Referral to this clinic is through the CAMH Emergency Department only.

Are there any people who aren’t the best fit for this program?
While this program aims to help everyone, there are some that have needs this program doesn’t cover, including:
- Non-acute/non-urgent clinical presentations
- Clients who have active psychiatry and therapy supports in the community
- Clients who are currently are, or admitted to, inpatient
- Cognitive level at and below the moderate developmental and/or intellectual delay (if known from a cognitive assessment)
