What is this program?
The Eating Disorders Day Hospital (EDDH) Program at SickKids is focused on intensive behavioral symptom interruption for young people and their families struggling with chronic eating disorder symptoms. Our program aims to identify and target the symptoms that are complicating the success of outpatient treatment for families. The overall goal is to provide the young person and their family with enhanced coping skills, allowing them to transition back into outpatient treatment for their eating disorder (ED) and co-morbid mental health concerns.
The EDDH program is a partnership with the Toronto District School Board that combines academics with treatment in this 16-week program.
