We offer support to children in Grades 1 to 8 who are experiencing emotional, social, psychiatric or behavioural challenges that disrupts their functioning at school, in the home and in the community.
This program is located at our Sheppard site in one of four Toronto District School Board classrooms.

- Community/agency/school referral through Help Ahead
- Self-referral through Help Ahead
- Primary care referral (i.e. Doctor or Nurse Practitioner) through Help Ahead

Are there any people who aren’t the best fit for this program?
GH-CCMH does not provide specific assessment and treatment for the following:
- When autism/related neuro-developmental disorders are the primary concern
- Autism spectrum disorder levels 2 and 3
- When substance use is the primary concern
- When eating disorders are the primary concern
- Requiring crisis care
- Psychosis as the primary concern
- Primary forensic concerns
- Child custody/access cases
- Those with serious medical conditions (e.g. requiring special equipment, etc.)
- Significant safety issues that require 1:1 staff support
- Those requiring specialized cognitive, behavioural or developmental services (e.g. ABA, IBI, etc.)
- Siblings
- Note: May need to exclude based on current dynamics within the program
